The 27th annual Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation Golf Classic teed up a fantastic day of fun, fellowship and championing agriculture literacy in Nebraska. Teams from across the state supported Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) with a team scramble at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha on Monday, July 14. Players drove the work of AITC forward with their support, which helps students understand the importance of agriculture in their daily lives. The event raised nearly $50,000 that will support the AITC mission.
“We are so thankful for the continued support for Agriculture in the Classroom,” said Lona Thompson, senior director of development for the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation. “With generous support from our donors, we are one step closer to closing the gap between consumers and producers. Last year we interacted with nearly 15,000 students, and, with this support, we hope to see that influence continue to grow!”
