County Scholarships
The following County Farm Bureau’s have scholarships available.
Adams/Webster County: One award for $1,500 to the top candidate and one for $500 to second place candidate. Applications are due March 1.
Antelope County: Two awards for $500 to students in Antelope County that are members of Antelope County Farm Bureau pursuing an ag-related field. Contact the office at (402) 887-4842 or marjorietownsend1942@gmail.com. Applications are due April 1.
Boone County: Two awards for $500 to Boone County high school seniors. Applications are due April 1.
Brown County: Offering up to $2,000 to Brown County graduating high school seniors. Preference will be given to members. Send application to Brown County Farm Bureau at 312 N Main Street, Ainsworth, NE 69210. Deadline is April 1.
Buffalo County: Seven awards for $750 to residents of Buffalo County high school seniors. Preference will be given to those pursuing an agriculture field and are members of Buffalo County Farm Bureau. Please contact Sarah Everett at (308) 234-2222 with any questions. Applications are due April 15.
Butler County: One $300 award for seniors in high school in Butler County. Parents must be residents of Butler County. Applications are due April 2nd. Return Scholarship Application to: Brittany Ahrens, 818 20 Street, Columbus, NE. 68601.
Cass County: Two awards for $500 to Cass County high school seniors pursuing an agriculture field. Membership required. Applications are due April 1.
Clay County: One award for $500 to graduating high seniors pursuing an ag-related field, membership preferred. Contact Lisa at (402) 469-5033 or randlgriess@windstream.net. Applications are due April 15.
Cuming County: One award for $500 and one award for $300 to a graduating high school senior. Membership required. Applicants pursuing an ag-related field will be preferred. Contact Stan at 402-648-7513 or stan.wegner@fbfs.com. Applications are due April 1.
Custer County: Custer County Farm Bureau is offering scholarships available to high school seniors and current college students who:
- Lived in or attended school in Custer County, Nebraska
- Are enrolled in an agriculture or related field, and
- Are members of Custer County Farm Bureau.
Applications must be postmarked no later than March 1.
Award: Numerous scholarships of no less than $1,000.00 each.
Dawson County: Three awards for $500 to graduating high school seniors that are members of Dawson County Farm Bureau. Those pursuing an agriculture-related field will be preferred. Contact Cherese Barnes at (308) 320-0686 or 43152rd746@gmail.com. Applications are due April 2.
Dixon County: Two awards for $500 to Dixon County high school seniors pursuing an agriculture field. Membership required. Applications are due March 1.
Dodge County: Two grants of up to $500 each year to Dodge County FFA & 4-H students. The purpose of the grant is to provide funds for students to begin or expand their 4-H or FFA projects.
Grants will be awarded every year in the Spring. Applications are due April 3, 2023.
Douglas County: Two awards for $4,000 each pursuing a college degree and two awards for $2,000 each pursuing a trade school diploma. All scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors pursuing a degree or diploma to support the agriculture community. Applicant must belong to a family that has been a Douglas County Farm Bureau member for three years. Contact Sally Habrock at (402) 720-2652 or dcfbpkr@gmail.com. Applications are due April 1.
Dundy County: Two awards for $450 each to students in Dundy County as well as paid membership. Contact Elmer Case at (308) 340-2086 or etcase@bwtelcom.net. Applications are due April 15.
Grant County: One $1,000 scholarship to a graduating from Hyannis High School senior pursuing an agriculture related degree. Deadline is April 21.
Hall County: Scholarships of up to $1,000 for students who (1) live in or attend school in Hall County, Nebraska, and (2) plan to pursue a course of study and career related to agriculture in Nebraska. Membership in Hall County Farm Bureau is not required to apply. Hall County Farm Bureau Members will receive preference. Applications due March 31.
Hamilton County: One scholarship for $500. To be eligible, you must be graduating in 2021 and your parent(s) must reside in Hamilton County. Applications are due March 31. If you have any questions, contact Zach Hunnicutt at zacharyhunnicutt@gmail.com.
Holt County: Multiple $500 scholarships will be awarded. Must be a resident of Holt County, Nebraska or have a Holt County Farm Bureau membership. Additional criteria are listed on the application. Deadline is March 31st, 2023 and only digital submissions will be accepted. Please contact Barry Kelly at (402) 394-7206 with any questions.
Howard County: Offering a scholarship up to $1,000 to a 2021 graduating senior to be used to further education in an agricultural related field. All applications must be received by Friday, April 16, 2021 to be considered. Further information: please contact Margie at (308) 850-5965.
Jefferson County: One award for $500 to Jefferson County high school seniors pursuing an agriculture field. Applications are due April 1.
Kearney/Franklin County: One $500 scholarship to graduating high school seniors pursuing an agriculture major at any post-secondary school. Applicant, applicant’s family members must be members of Kearney/Franklin County Farm Bureau. Contact Randy Meyrs at (308) 832-2290 or randy.myers@fbfs.com. Applications are due March 31.
Keith County: Two awards for $250 to Keith County high school seniors or current college students. Membership preferred. Must email application. Deadline is April 15.
Kimball/Banner County: One $500 scholarship awarded to one Kimball County resident, and one $500 scholarship awarded to one Banner County resident. Deadline is April 15, 2023.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln for students that are residents of Lancaster County:
- Two ($1,000 each) scholarships per year for each grade level (8 total scholarships)
- Applicants can reapply each year
Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) Scholarships:
- Two ($1,000 each) scholarships
Southeast Community College Scholarships:
- 2 scholarships for each campus: Beatrice, Milford, and Lincoln (6 total)
Lincoln County: Four awards for $500 to Lincoln County high school seniors. Preference will be given to members and those pursuing an agriculture-related field. Applications are due March 13.
Madison County: Two awards for $500 to Madison County high school seniors pursuing an agriculture field. Applications are due August 1.
Merrick County: Three scholarships for $500 each to graduating high school seniors in Merrick County. Those that are members of Merrick County Farm Bureau will be preferred. Contact the county Farm Bureau office at (308) 946-3893. Applications are due March 14.
Morrill County: Two scholarships for $300 each. Must be resident of Morrill county and be a Farm Bureau member or have a parent or grandparent who is a member. Please email application and letters of reference to shelli.bowman@fbfs.com or mail to:

Nemaha County: Will award 2 Auburn High School graduating seniors and to 2 Johnson Brock High School seniors who plan on continuing their education at a college or university. Two $400 scholarships for each school will be chosen. Must be members of Nemaha county Farm Bureau or dependent of a Nemaha County Farm Bureau Member. Platte County: Four awards for $500 each to graduating from high school seniors in Platte county. Contact the office at (402) 562-7777. Applications are due April 15.
Rock County: One $100 award. Applications available at Rock County High School as part of the Rock County High School Foundation scholarship application. Applications are due March 15. Contact Tim Shaw (402) 244-5467 or timpqshaw@abbnebraska.com for more information.
Saline County: Two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing an agriculture or home economics related degree. While not required, members will be preferred. Please send all materials to Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation at P.O. Box 80299 Lincoln, NE 68501-0299. Application must be post marked by April 1 in order to be considered for the following academic year.
Sarpy County: Sarpy County Farm Bureau is offering one or more $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors graduating from a Sarpy County high school planning to enroll full time in a college or university in a field to support the agriculture community, i.e. agriculture science, agronomy, biotechnology, livestock health and management, ag education, ag journalism, or other supportive fields. While not required, Farm Bureau members will be preferred. Application must be post marked by April 1st.
Sarpy County Farm Bureau is offering one or more $1000 scholarships to college or university students enrolled in a field to support the agriculture community, i.e. agriculture science, agronomy, biotechnology, livestock health and management, ag education, ag journalism, or other supportive fields. While not required, Farm Bureau members will be preferred. Application deadline is July 15th.
Saunders County: Four $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior that is a member of Saunders County Farm Bureau. Applications are due April 1.
Scotts Bluff County: (1) Larry Birdsall Memorial $1,000 scholarship and (2) Scotts Bluff County $500 Scholarships to Scotts Bluff County high school seniors or current college students. Membership required. Applications are due April 15.
Thurston County: Awards for $250 to students that are members of Thurston County Farm Bureau pursuing an ag-related field. Contact Joel Lamplot at (402) 385-2452 or lamplot@gmail.com. Applications are due March 31.
Washington County: Up to $1000.00(One Thousand dollars) payable in 2(two) equal installments to be paid by the beginning of each session of the academic term. Applications are due March 31.
York County: offering $500 scholarship to graduating senior pursuing an agriculture related field. While not required, member of York County Farm Bureau will be preferred.
