LINCOLN, NEB. – The Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation awarded the Hall County Farm Bureau Scholarship to Alison Schimmer of Grand Island.
Schimmer graduated from Northwest High School and plans to study textiles, merchandising, and fashion design with a minor in textile science at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
“Agriculture has been a central part of my life, shaping my values, work ethic, and aspirations,” said Schimmer. “While I have chosen to study fashion, I am passionate about integrating agriculture into my field by exploring sustainable textiles and innovative fabric development.”
Each year, the Hall County Farm Bureau Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding Hall County student.
